About 3 Inches of Snow Predicted Wednesday

Most of the snow will fall in the evening hours.

Several inches of snow are expected Wednesday and Wednesday night in Somerset County, according to the National Weather Service.

According to the NWS, reports are currently calling for rain and snow, mostly rain, throughout the day, with more snow in the evening and after midnight.

Mitchell Gaines, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Mount Holly, said they are expecting a mixture of rain and snow, with rain mostly in the afternoon before it switches back to some snow in the evening. Snowfall Wednesday into Thursday will probably be about 3 inches.

Gaines said the chance of rain and snow showers will linger through Thursday, and the storm should wind down throughout the day.
