Bridgewater Family Takes Ride in the Skies

The Ireland family heads up in the Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield blimp.

On June 9, 2012, the Ireland family, of Bridgewater took a ride of a lifetime aboard the Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey blimp. The lucky passengers won the unique experience through a silent auction to support Komen Rally for the Cure.

“We had an amazing flight," said Sara Ireland. "Our captain was a great source of information on all the sights below. Thank you so much for this once in a lifetime opportunity. We will never forget it.”

This year, Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey has donated 50 blimp rides to be auctioned off to help financially support New Jersey non-profit organizations like Komen Rally for the Cure. Rally for the Cure is a grassroots program that works to spread awareness about breast health and breast cancer in support of Susan G. Komen.
