An Evening With Bill Moyers to Benefit Friends of Bernardville Library
When/Where: Friday at 7 p.m. at Dolce in Basking Ridge.
Why Go:
 Because you can have a thought provoking evening with journalist and public commentator Bill Moyers (who also lives in Bernardsville!) and mix food for thought with a delicious refreshments. The discussion on the influence of the media on democracy is hosted by the Friends of the Bernardsville Library, to raise money for special programs and services at the Bernardsville Public Library.
Cost:
 $100 per ticket, available through Friday morning at 1 Anderson Hill Road in Bernardsville, or by calling 908-766-0118.

Cat Adoption & Pet Information Center Garage Sale
When/Where: Friday at 8 p.m. on Bell Avenue in Raritan.
Why Go:
Because the organization is raising funds through a garage sale to pay for medical bills to take care of hundreds of cats and kittens that have been rescued this year.
Cost:
Free.

Step Out Walk to Fight Diabetes
When/Where: Saturday at 3:30 p.m. at TD Bank Ballpark.
Why Go:
Because the Somerset Patriots are hosting the American Diabetes Association’s walk, where participants can walk as many times as they want around the warning track of the field, participate in a haunted trail and show up in their costumes!
Cost:
Free, although a $20 donation is recommended.

Rotary Pancake Breakfast
When/Where: Sunday at 8:30 a.m. on Washington Valley Road in Bridgewater.
Why Go:
Because Rotary Club of Somerville & Bridgewater is holding its annual pancake breakfast to raise funds for the organization’s scholarship fund, complete with a buffet of eggs, sausage, bacon, tater tots, Danish and, of course, plenty of pancakes.
Cost:
$10.

Youth Open Gym
When/Where: Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at Adamsville Primary School in Bridgewater.
Why Go:
Because Bridgewater Recreation is hosting these weekly for kids to spend an afternoon playing basketball and other games, and eating pizza.
Cost:
Free.
