Easter Services to be Held Throughout Town

Friday is Good Friday and Sunday is Easter, and families around Bridgewater will gather together to celebrate the holiday. To help prepare, we present a list of services being offered throughout the township, and what time they begin.

• St. Martin’s Episcopal Church—Good Friday services will begin at 9 a.m. with morning prayer, then Stations of the Cross at 12 p.m., evening prayer at 2:45 p.m. and the Liturgy of Good Friday at 7:30 p.m. Holy Saturday services will begin at 9 a.m. with the Liturgy for Holy Saturday, the Great Vigil of Easter at 7:30 p.m. and the Agape Feast at 9 p.m. Easter Sunday services will begin at 8:15 a.m. with the Holy Eucharist with Easter Hymns, the Easter Festival Eucharist at 10:30 a.m. and an Easter Egg Hunt at 11:30 a.m.
• Christ Presbyterian Church—The Easter Celebration of Resurrection will be held at 10 a.m. Sunday.
• Garretson Road Church of Christ—Easter Sunday services will begin at 9:30 a.m. with morning worship at 10:30 a.m.
• Church of the Holy Trinity—Good Friday services will begin at 3 p.m., with Stations of the Cross at 7 p.m. and confessions from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Holy Saturday will begin with Blessing of the Food at 10 a.m. and confessions from 1 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Vigil of Easter services will be held Saturday at 8 p.m. Easter services will be held Sunday at 8 a.m., 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.
• Grace Community Church—Good Friday services will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday will see an Easter Egg Hunt at 2 p.m. On Easter Sunday, there will be a fellowship breakfast at 9 a.m. and Sunday worship service at 10:30 a.m.
• Bridgewater United Methodist Church—Good Friday services will be held 7:30 p.m. Easter Sunday begins with a sunrise service at 6:30 a.m., Easter brunch at 7:15 a.m. and Easter Chapel Worship Service at 8:15 a.m. Then, an Easter traditional service will be held at 9:30 a.m. and an Easter J4L Contemporary Service will be held at 11 a.m.
• Church of the Blessed Sacrament—Good Friday services will be held at 3 p.m. On Saturday, there will be an Easter Egg Hunt at 10 a.m., and a Great Easter Vigil at 7:30 p.m. Easter services will be at 10:30 a.m.
• St. Bernard of Clairvaux—On Good Friday, there will be a carrying of the Cross from North Branch Reformed Church to St. Bernard at 1 p.m., and a solemn liturgy of The Passion of The Lord in the Church at 3 p.m. On Saturday, the Great Vigil of Easter will be held at 8 p.m. Easter Sunday services will be held at 7:30 a.m., 9 a.m., 10:30 a.m. and 12 p.m.
