'Nature Through a Child's Eye' Art Show
When/Where:
Art pieces interpreting what nature means to more than 500 children from throughout Somerset County will remain on exhibit through Jan. 27 at the Somerset County Environmental Education Center at 190 Lord Stirling Road in Basking Ridge.
Why Go:
See how children view the world of nature, including elementary and middle school students from the Somerset Hills School district, Bernards Township and Bridgewater.

Free

Exercise at your Library: Zumba Fitness
When/Where:
Friday at 10:30 a.m. at the Bridgewater Township Library on Vogt Drive.
Why Go:
Marleen Corner is a licensed instructor in Zumba, and will be teaching a class at the library. Registration is required.
Cost:
Free.

Youth Open Gym
When/Where:
Friday at 6:30 p.m. at Bradley Gardens Primary School on Pine Street in Bridgewater.
Why Go:
Students in grades seven through 12 are invited to attend the open gym to play basketball and other games, while also feasting on pizza and soda.
Cost:
Free.

The Brementown Musicians
When/Where:
Saturday at 10:15 a.m. at the Bernardsville Public Library, 1 Anderson Hill Road in Bernardsville.
Why Go:
Come see an entertaining program of the Brementown Musicians as performed by the Basking Ridge-based Trilogy Repertory Co. Note: The performance will also be given at the Bernards Township Library in Basking Ridge at 10:30 a.m., 1 p.m. or 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 26.
Cost:
Free, but pick up tickets beforehand at either library.

Dog Adoption Event at Raritan PetCo
When/Where:
Saturday and Sunday at 11 a.m. at the Raritan PetCo on the Somerville Circle.
Why Go:
Because so many dogs are looking for their permanent families, and there will also be lots of merchandise available through the People for Animals event.
Cost:
Free.

Acclaimed Young Vocalists in Recital
When/Where:
Sunday at 4 p.m. at the Church of St. John in Bernardsville.
Why Go:
Through Music in the Somerset Hills, soloists will be performing arias and art songs, with performers including Dashon Burton, winner of the 2012 NY Oratorio Society Competition, and Laquita Mitchel, a MET Opera National Council Auditions Grand Prize Winner.

$20.
