Hurricane Sandy in Photos: Bridgewater Roads Empty

Residents appear to be heeding warnings. Winds picking up, but impacts in township minimal through morning and afternoon.

There is much more to come from Hurricane Sandy, and the storm is expected to only get worse, but the visible impact Monday morning and afternoon in Bridgewater appeared to be minimal, despite downed trees and more.

However, things are expected to deteriorate as the storm hits land and the eyewall crosses through New Jersey.

Most local residents appear to have heeded Gov. Chris Christie's warning and have stayed off the roads. Home Depot in Bridgewater was open Monday morning for last minute shopping, but closed around 12 p.m.
