JCC Offering Pasta Dinner for Those Without Power

The building just reopened Saturday.

UPDATE: The Shimon and Sara Birnbaum Jewish Community Center is offering a second free pasta meal at the building on Talamini Road for those without power in the community.

The lunch meal will be held from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday.

"This is open to the community," said marketing director Debbie Golden. "We are inviting anyone without power to come to the JCC for warmth and delicious food."

After being without power for days after the storm, the Shimon and Sara Birnbaum Jewish Community Center finally reopened Saturday, and is offering a free pasta dinner at the center.

The dinner will be held for JCC members and other members of the community Saturday from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the center on Talamini Road.

The JCC is requesting that those interested in attending RSVP before coming to let them know how many people will be there, but please do not call later than 4 p.m.

For those who do have power, the JCC is asking that anyone who can cook up a pot of pasta, make a salad or bring bread or dessert do so before coming to the dinner.
