Open Mic Nights Showing Off County Talent

The library is continuing to hold Open Mic Night Cafes.

Sometimes there's just not enough days in the week, but every Wednesday we'll give you an idea of something to do to relax, spend time with family and just take some time for yourself.

And this time we want to give you a way to show off some amazing talents.

The is continuing its Open Mic Cafe Night, inviting people ages 13 and over to show off their skills in poetry, comedy and original music.

For its next cafe, on July 26, the library is adding an extra twist by bringing it to the outdoor ampitheater at the .

The library is inviting people who want to perform original music, share their poetry or give a comedy performance to register for the program and perform in front of their peers from all over the county.

The last open mic night had 16 performers with about 60 people in the audience. Because of the popularity of the event, the next one has been moved to the Vo-Tech to accommodate more people.

The program will be held from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., and registration is required.

Sign-ups are on a first-come, first-served basis, and participants will receive between 10 and 15 minutes to perform.
