Sandy Forces Multiple Bridgewater Closures

We've got your updates on what's closed in Bridgewater during the storm.

With Hurricane Sandy preparing to bare its teeth in Bridgewater, and much of the eastern seaboard, lots of places are releasing closures in advance of the expected storm Monday and Tuesday.

We have your list right here of all the closures in Bridgewater and the surrounding towns in Somerset County. Keep checking here throughout the length of the storm for a continually updated list.

  • Bridgewater Township Library will also be closed Tuesday.
  • All Bridgewater Township offices will be closed for regular business Tuesday.
  • The Bridgewater YMCA is closed Monday.
  • The special planning board meeting scheduled for 7 p.m. Monday has been cancelled. And the zoning board meeting scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Tuesday has been cancelled.
  • All Bridgewater-Raritan Regional School District schools are closed for Monday and Tuesday.
  • The Bridgewater Township offices will be closed Monday, and all meetings scheduled for the evening have been cancelled. Keep checking the township website for updates on meetings.
  • The Bridgewater Commons Mall will be closed Monday. Check the website though for information on department store, restaurant and theater hours.
  • The Bridgewater Township Library will be closed Monday.
  • All Somerset County parks will be closed Monday and Tuesday. A decision will be made Tuesday concerning whether the parks will reopen on Wednesday, and the timeline of their reopenings.
  • The Trick or Treat event at the municipal complex planned for Tuesday has been rescheduled for Nov. 7 because of the weather. The event, sponsored by D.A.R.E., will include a costume parade, prizes, guessing games and a DJ.
