Senior Health Fair Coming to Bridgewater

The Bridgewater Township Department of Human Services will host its annual senior health fair March 21 at the Bridgewater Senior Center.

The fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The free event is part of the Bridgewater Mayors Wellness Campaign, and will provide health screenings including hearing evaluations, skin cancer screenings and eye examinations.

According to a release from the township, there will be additional health evaluations, including blood pressure screening, blood glucose tests and body stress evaluations.

In addition to the evaluation, a free continental breakfast will be available until 11 a.m., and the event will also feature door prizes and raffles.

All Bridgewater residents are invited to attend, in addition to those in surrounding communities.

Vendors at the fair will include, Somerset Medical Center Community Health, Green Knoll Nutrition, Jewish Family Services, American Lung Association, Comfort Keepers, Natural Medicine and Rehabilitation for body stress screenings, Chelsea@Bridgewater, Somerset County Consumer Protection, Fellowship Senior Living, Center for Pain Management, Home Instead Senior Care, Gentiva Hospice, Designs for Dental Health, Avalon Assisted Living, Bridgeway Care and Rehabilitation, Back Home Safely, Compassionate Care Hospice, Riverwalk Chiropractic, Bright Star Care, Carrier Clinic, Visiting Nurses of Somerset Hills, Doctors Express Urgent Care and Team Capital Bank.

The purpose of the Mayors Wellness Campaign, the release said, is to promote active living and healthy lifestyle initiatives.
