Somerset County Declares State of Emergency

All non-essential vehicles are prohibited from roads.

Somerset County has declared a state of emergency throughout the entire county, as of early Tuesday morning.

According to a post on the Bridgewater Township Police Department's Facebook page, there is a declared state of emergency, and all non-essential motor vehicle traffic is prohibited from any roads and streets that have been barricaded.

Residents are being encouraged to remain sheltered in place.
