Lord Stirling Stable has to the best park in the country as it houses 60 + horses and a safe riding program. The staff is friendly and helpful and they offer events and parties for adults and children.

Though I know there are many great parks in the county, I must admit I love Lord Stirling. I recently took up horseback riding there and absolutely love it. The staff is extremely friendly. Going there is the highlight of my week!

Lord Stirling Stable is an amazing resource for our county. That we can so easily enjoy an activity that is usually only at great cost and commitment, is wonderful for our community. The horses are well cared for; the staff is helpful and knowledgeable; the teachers know their business - really a great place.

Miraculous transformations are happening all the time at Lord Stirling Stable where 9-year olds begin a journey that takes them from timid children to confident riders who command horses 10 times their size. Miles and miles of trails allow riders (experienced to those taking their first ride) and dog walkers to enter one of nature's prettiest paintings where a plethora of wildlife dots the landscape. As an extra treat, the Lipizzan stallions bring their piece of history to Lord Stirling Park on Sept. 14 -16. We've got a gem right here in our neighborhood -- Lord Stirling Stable!

Lord Stirling Stable is a unique treasure among many wonderful Somerset County parks. Young children can enjoy the thrill of a pony ride; older children & adults learn to ride in a safe, friendly environment; and the many special events attract riders & non-riders alike. The property and trails are beautifully kept, the staff is friendly & helpful, and the horses are loved & well cared for. We are very lucky to have such a wonderful facility - folks who visit from a distance express their envy, and those of us close enough to enjoy Lord Stirling Stable regularly know how fortunate we are.

The Sourland Mountain Preserve is not on the list and most of it is right here in Hillsborough... http://www.somersetcountyparks.org/parksFacilities/sourland/SourlandMtPreserve.html

Lord Stirling Stable is the "Triple Crown" Jewel of Somerset County. Loving care of the horses, safety, and friendliness of staff are key. The horses are honest, trustworthy, and well schooled. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and very hard working. Trails are exceptionally beautiful and well maintained. Thank you Somerset County for making this affordable and available to us. We appreciate you.

The riding instructors know each of their students and encourage them to do their best. They give awesome advice and teach in a way that everybody understands. They are truly wonderful.

Renee I hope everyone in Somerset County realizes what a wonderful facility we have in Lord Stirling Stable. There are only two other county owned and operated Stables in the state and neither begin to compare in quality or value to LSS. The staff is exceptional and you couldn't ask for better horses - they receive 1st class care. The barn is always clean, and the trails and arenas are groomed daily. Good job Somerset County - the Stable is PRICELESS!

Lord Stirling Stables is an amazing place and a gift to all in Somerset County. The facility is beautifully maintained and horses well cared for. The friendly and hard working employees make Lord Stirling Stables a very special place. Thank you Somerset County Parks Commission and to all who work and volunteer at the stable. My horse loving daughter's dreams are coming true because of LSS.
