Rental costs are not available for all of Bridgewater, but for the Finderne section and areas near the Bridgewater Commons Mall, they fall in a range separated by only a few hundred dollars.

Data used to create the map was compiled with information from the American Community Survey as part of the most recent census.

The Finderne section of town sees rental costs on the high side, about $1,353 as a median monthly rent, plus or minus about $70.

Closer to Union Avenue, inching toward Bound Brook, renters are seeing costs in the $1,099 range, plus or minus $58.

On the other side of town, near the Bridgewater Commons Mall and municipal building, renters are seeing costs at $1,244, plus or minus $228.

According to the charts, the statewide middle rental range is $928 to $1,071.

Nearby, in Somerville, rents range from $1,123 all the way down to $921, depending on the section and the proximity to Route 22 versus Route 206.

Raritan is seeing rents around $1,134 in some areas, and on the higher end at $1,575 near the Bradley Gardens section of Bridgewater.
