Charity Art Auction in Martinsville

Celebrates 16th Year

Where are you
planning to be on Saturday, February 22nd 
I hope it’s at the Gala Annual Art Auction at our Parish Hall.  The Knights of Columbus Martinsville Council
#5959 is hosting their 16th Annual Art Auction presented by Marlin
Art.  The Auction preview kicks off at
6:30 p.m. with hors d’oeuvres and refreshments. Our exquisite menu consists of
hot and cold entrees followed by coffee, tea, and desserts.

If you haven’t
attended one of the auctions in the past you will be amazed at the
experience.  The Art Auction is conducted
by our favorite auctioneer, Jeannie Malone. 
She has perfected the art of engaging the crowd and stirring up action.  Last year she managed to have a Boston Red Sox
print bid into the hundreds after starting it to a whisper at $25.  Marlin Art has exclusive relationships with
many prominent artists including Fazzino, Borelli, Neiman, and Holland. The
artwork is exquisitely framed, and can often be purchased at substantial
savings to what you would find at retail.  Guests can even request that specific artists
and styles be included in the Auction in advance, selecting pieces from
Marlin’s website at MarlinArt.com.,

Over the years, our
Charity Art Auction has become a highlight of the Blessed Sacrament social
calendar.  If you haven’t had the
pleasure of attending, make this the year you do. For advance tickets $20 per person,

The Auction funds
most of the charitable activities that Council #5959  supports, serving the local community in many
ways; supporting philanthropic organizations including the Pregnancy Aid
Center, the Center for Great Expectations, ARC, and the local community homes
and funding the KofC college scholarship program.
