Martinsville Community Center Open House
The Martinsville Community Center (MCC) is hosting its annual Open House/Membership Drive on Saturday, May 18th from 11:00am-2:00pm at the Community Center (1961 Washington Valley Road, Martinsville). Please mark your calendars and plan to attend the Open House (free
hotdogs/hamburgers/beverages/desserts). The picnic is open to all current and prospective members, so bring your neighbors! You’ll be able to see the progress on the renovation of the building and also learn about plans for
future events. If you haven't already renewed your membership for 2013, you can sign-up at the open house. There will be a brief presentation at 11:00am and 1:00pm by the Tick Tackler, who will explain how to manage ticks in your yard safely. The Quarry Lane Band will be providing live music and there will be games for children. Parking is available at the MCC building or at the Washington Valley Library.
The mission of the MCC is to improve the quality of community and family life by creating and maintaining an intergenerational and cross-cultural center that provides social, health, recreational, educational and creative arts opportunities. Visit us on May 18th to hear about the exciting plans for the future and spend some time visiting with neighbors.
