NJ Association for Jazz Education State Preliminary Competition

The jazz program at Bridgewater-Raritan High School is well recognized and fortunate enough to support three student jazz bands.  They would like to invite you to come out and hear how jazz in staying alive through this generation of youth.  Bridgewater-Raritan High School will be hosting the NJ Association for Jazz Education State Jazz Preliminaries on March 11th beginning at 5:00pm and continuing through the evening in the auditorium at the BR High School in hopes of advancing to the state finals.  This event will be open to the public and people are encouraged to stop by at any time that evening to hear different bands compete from across the state.  

The BRHS Tuesday Jazz Band participated in a festival at Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School on Friday 2/28 and received the award for outstanding trumpet section as well as an outstanding soloist  award for freshman pianist Eric McCarro.
