Township Hosts Flu Clinic

Bridgewater Township Mayor
Dan Hayes urges residents, especially those who are at high risk of
complications from influenza, to get a seasonal flu shot.

In this regard the
Bridgewater Township Division of Health continues to offer all adults in the
community seasonal influenza vaccinations. The following seasonal influenza clinic
date has been scheduled for individuals 18 years of age or older.

These
immunizations will be provided in partnership with the Community Visiting

Nurses Association of Somerville.

The Federal Centers for Disease Control (CDC) has reported that the single best way to protect against the flu is to get vaccinated each year. The CDC reports on average every year in the United States more than 200,000 individuals are hospitalized and about 36,000 people die due to complications from the flu.

These complications can include bacterial pneumonia, dehydration and worsening of chronic medical conditions such as congestive heart failure, asthma or
diabetes. Pre-registration is not necessary for the Township’s clinic.
