Far Hills Country Day School Presents Workshop for Parents and Teachers on the Keys to Academic Success

FAR HILLS, NJ – Educational experts Dr. Steven Tobias, School Psychologist, and Rob Berkman, Associate Head of School will lead a workshop entitled “The Key to Academic Success – It’s Not What You Think!” designed for both parents and teachers. The workshop will focus on the factors that contribute to a students’ success in school and in life. Achievement is not solely about IQ, it is also dependent on the EQ (Emotional Intelligence.)  Current research tells us that social skills, intrapersonal intelligence, resilience, collaboration and many other factors are critical to success in school.  As parents, we want to better understand how/why these factors contribute to success and how we can instill and foster them in our children.

The workshop will be held on Monday, January 27th from 7:00-8:00 PM at Bernards Township Library located at 32 South Maple Avenue, Basking Ridge, NJ. For further information and to register, please contact Kassandra Hayes at khayes@fhcds.org or call (908) 766-0622 x 455.
