Bridgewater's 'Raise Your Glass' Foundation Plans Golf Outing

After launching the Raise Your Glass Foundation to thank doctors at the Shriner's Hospital in Philadelphia last year, Bridgewater residents Adam and Danielle Yenish are moving forward with a golf outing to help support their efforts.

The couple began the foundation in appreciation of the hospital's staff who helped treat their son, AJ, who was born with arthrogryposis, a congenital disorder causing joints to stiffen, which impairs development and movement, as well as a pituitary disorder.
  
The Inaugural Golf Classic will be held at NJ National Golf Club, in Basking Ridge, on Columbus Day, Oct. 14. The foundation also held a major fundraiser in February, with a dinner at the Bridgewater Marriott that raised more than $45,000.   

Unlike some golf outings, Yenish wants everyone to know the event encourages beginning golfers to join in.   

"If you are new to the sport, enjoy getting out a few times a year, or play several times a week, we'd love for you and your friends to join us for an all-inclusivegolf outing experience," he said. 

The registration fee covers greens fees, golf cart rental, and entry in all on-course skills challenges—including the hole-in-one, closest to the pin, longest drive, straightest drive, putting contest, "Beat the Pro" contests—breakfast, on course beverages (Beer and non-alcoholic options), snacks, open bar following golf, and dinner.
