Councilman Renews Drive to Benefit Pregnancy Aid Center

Items needed by new mothers can be dropped off at the municipal complex through Dec. 27.

Last year, Township Councilman Matthew Moench sponsored a holiday drive to benefit the Pregnancy Aid and Information Center, an all-volunteer organization in Raritan dedicated to helping pregnant women and new mothers in their time of need.

Encouraged by the success of the project, Moench renewed the drive for this holiday season, asking residents to help by donating items needed by new mothers in need.

“For over three decades the Raritan Pregnancy Aid Center has supported those women from Bridgewater, Raritan and surrounding communities, who have made the choice to bring a new life into this world, but who lack necessary resources," Moench said. "The Pregnancy Aid Center supports these women and their families through education, care, and providing for their needs.  This worthy organization needs our help in continuing its important work."

Moench said during last year's drive, "our residents were extremely generous in their donations, and I am confident that we can do so again."

Items most in need by the Pregnancy Aid Center, located on Thompson Street, in Raritan, include diapers, baby wipes, baby wash, diaper rash cream, baby bottles, sippy cups, and Similac formula advanced (blue label).  Interested residents can drop off donations at the Bridgewater Township Clerk’s office beginning Dec. 3rd and continuing through Dec. 27th.
