Dancers Set to Compete for 'Mirror Ball Trophy'

Jewish Community Center reprises its 'Dancing with the Stars' fundraiser.

After raising more than $50,000 for its scholarship fund, the Jewish Community Center is back with a second installment of its "Dancing with the Stars" event—with JCC members joining professional dancers from the Arthur Murray Schools of Dance in Green Brook and Highland Park.

Eight couples—each a JCC member matched with a professional dancer will compete for the Saturday Night Fever-worthy "JCC Mirror Ball Trophy." The night includes a buffet dinner, dessert, an open bar—and open dancing for inspired guests after the contest.

This year's competing dancers and their professional partners are Stacey Glassman and Jonathan Daneshpour; Gary Shiman and Christina Garced; Ellen Teller and Karol Kalinowski; Mike Melango with Kristie Kuo; Lisa Nierenberg and Leo Mora; Ken Kaus with Jazmin Novoa; Randy Berkow and Rosa Paredes; and Josh Leibner  with Maira Pineda.

Kalinowski will also join with his JCC guest from last year's contest, Marsha Chazin, for a spotlight dance. The couple won last year's Mirror Ball Trophy.
