BRHS PTO Offers Teen Driver Safety Program—for Mom and Dad

Informational program aimed at parents with teens ready to begin driving—or who already have licenses.

The Bridgewater Raritan High School PTO and Drive Safer, LLC are hosting a special Parent / Teen Driving Orientation from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday in the Bridgewater High School Auditorium.

As a parent, the majority of driver training is left up to you.  After only six-hours behind the wheel with a driving school, it becomes your responsibility to ensure that your children are safe behind the wheel — not only until they get their license, but also once they have it.

This program provides a very informative overview of the rules, regulations, tips and tricks on how to be the most effective parent teacher of driver’s education to keep your kids and your community safe. It is focused for specifically for parents; however, teens are invited to attend as well.  Parents with teens from the age of 15 and older should attend.

“Motor vehicle accidents are the number one killer of teens in the US, and this has to stop,” says Jason Friedman, CEO of Drive Safer.  “Many parents don’t have access to the critically important information that they need to protect and teach their teens how to safely operate and control their car.  This is why we work with local high schools to present programs like this.”

There will be a prize raffle for some lucky families including: a free Drive Safer Teen Car Control & Defensive Driving Program valued at $249, a $50 gift certificate to Bridgewater Driving School and a $50 Gas Card.
