The BRHS Panther Marching returned from the Bands of America Regional Championship at Towson University, where the band captured second-place on Saturday evening.

It was a long and thrilling day for the band that began with a preliminary round against 28 other bands.  BRHS scored 80.40 qualifying them to progress to the finals, pitting the band against 11 of the top bands on the east coast.
Despite being up since the early morning hours, the final performance was not scheduled to begin until after 9 p.m. that same evening.

The band braved the cold and the wind to provide an outstanding final performance.

After much nervous anticipation, BRHS was announced in second place with an overall score of 85.75 just behind Lassiter High School from Georgia with a score of 87.60.  Lassiter High School is a very large marching band with over 200 members and has a history of national championships.
"We are so proud of BRHS Panther Marching Band as they always fight through adversities and make us proud," Shanthi Sundar, a board member for the Bridgewater Raritan Band Parents Association, said.
