Mall's Santa One of the Best, Magazine's Poll Says

Even when not in costume, kids recognize him.

A readers survey by Time Magazine uncovered another secret about Bridgewater Commons' Santa: he's one of the best.

The magazine posted the results of its poll, including Thomas Tolbert, 53, a Santa so good he's recognizable with or without the suit (the beard and hair are real, folks!). Tolbert is so Santa-like, he was even admonished by officials at Disney World to stop being so much like the one character to outdraw Mickey Mouse.

A native of Roswell, Ga., Tolbert has the personality as well as the looks to go with the task, with a calming presence that wins children over easily.

This is his second year at the mall—he's had several returning visitors from last year, including a local woman with Alzheimers who nonetheless perks up when she sees Santa.

You can see Santa at the mall any day between now and Christmas Eve.
