No Need to Panic: Lots of Thanksgiving Shopping Possible

Our survival guide to getting what you need on Thanksgiving.

While Bridgewater's grocery stores will be open—Wegman's and ShopRite until 5 p.m. and the Twin Cities grocery until 8 p.m.—for those last minute yams and extra pies, if you've been wondering what else you can buy tomorrow, we've compiled a list of store hours for Thanksgiving.

A friend is joining us for dinner unexpectedly—can I get some more wine for dinner?

All local liquor stores are open and have plenty of fine wine (or, since your friend couldn't bother to RSVP sooner, gallon jugs of wine) on hand. Their hours will be:

  • Best Buy Liquors: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Elliott Beverage Co.: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Super Saver Liquors: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Spirits of the Valley: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
I think I ate too much and need some Alk-Seltzer...where can I get some?

CVS Stores will be open regular hours today, though the pharmacists get to close shop early. Martinsville Pharmacy will be closed, as the Bridgewater location of Easy Pharmacy will be (the Manville Easy Pharmacy will be open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.).

I can't wait to get to my Christmas list—where can I shop after Thanksgiving dinner?

Drop your knapkin and put away the pie: at 4 p.m., you can head over to Michael's, in the Bridgewater Promenade, to start knocking off those must-get gifts. Hang around until midnight for the Black Friday sales (and be sure to post a photo to Instagram tagged #BridgewaterBlackFriday).

You can also shop atTarget at 8 p.m. and Old Navy at 9 p.m.

Several Bridgewater Commons stores are also opening at 8 p.m. Thursday, including Macy's, Aeropostale, Forever 21 and Justice—but be sure to check the website since more stores are joining the list.

What's on TV besides football?

Put the bird in the oven early, then kick back and enjoy AMC's day-long Godfather marathon starting at 11:30 a.m., with showings of "The Godfather" and "The Godfather Part II" (too many critics think "Godfather III" was a bit of a turkey itself). It's all about family drama, perfect for Thanksgiving, right? You can baste during the commercials....

Or you can watch the Packers at Lions, the Raiders take on the Cowboys, and Steelers against the Ravens.
