STOP In The Name Of Deepak!

Here's a valuable tip I learned while listening to Deepak Chopra last week at an event sponsored by Hunterdon Medical Centeer

Last week I was fortunate to meet Deepak Chopra, up-close and personal.  It was just myself, Deepak and 1,000 of his closest friends.  He spoke for an hour, gave us a copy of his awesome new book, Super Brain and off we went.  

I plan to share tidbits of what I'm learning as I devour the book, but here's one he shared that night.  It's a simple mnemonic to use when you feel any degree of negative emotion.  So the next time you're feeling angry, frustrated, disappointed, worried, dejected.... remind yourself to STOP!

Stop
Take a deep breath and smile
Observe
Proceed with your day 

Here's my take on why this works...

When we're feeling down, our vibrations are low.  When we shift our thought pattern by STOPping, even just for those few moments, we literally interrupt the vibration.  The deep breath and the smile cause the vibration to improve, even just a teeny bit.  And that teeny bit can make all the difference.

I really hope you will try it the next time you feel you could use an emotional boost.  I think you will agree that this simple exercise can make a rapid and significant improvement in whatever has you feeling down.
