Anita Holler Sierveld, 67, died peacefully on Sept. 14, 2013 after a brief illness. Anita was born Sept. 13, 1946, in Newark, the daughter of Frank W. Holler and Charlotte L. Bond.
Anita graduated from Bailey Ellard High School and attended Seton Hall University where she graduated as a Registered Nurse. She worked for several years at Overlook Hospital in Summit.
In 1970, Anita married the love of her life Anthony W. Sierveld and moved to Martinsville. Anita raised four daughters and later worked as the school nurse at JFK Elementary School, in Raritan, for over 15 years.
In addition to raising their children, she taught religious education classes and sang as part of the guitar group at Blessed Sacrament Church in Martinsville. Anita and Tony later retired to Egg Harbor Township. She was involved in the sewing and Mah Jong club. Anita enjoyed vacationing every summer in Gananoque, Canada, with the family, sewing and knitting gifts for her family, and loved playing games with her grandchildren.
Anita is survived by her husband, Anthony; brothers Bill (Connie) Holler of Midland, Mich., and Denis (Liz) Holler of Westwood, Mass.; daughters, Jennifer (David) Doty of Kinnelon, Emily (Keith) Davis of Winston-Salem, N.C., Kathryn (Kevin) Tripodi of Bridgewater, Megan (fiancé Justin Simpson) Sierveld of Cary, N.C.; grandchildren Jordan and Jack Doty, Addison and Hope Davis, Ella Tripodi; nieces Charlotte, Abigail and Margaret Holler and Kim Molnar; and a number of other relatives and close friends.
There will be a funeral mass at St. Rose of Lima in East Hanover, at 3 p.m. Sept. 19. Following the mass, the family invites friends and relatives to celebrate her memory at Hanover Manor, in East Hanover, from 4:30-7:30 p.m. that evening.
