Seamstress and Mother Mary Jannone Enjoyed Trips to Casinos

Services set for Monday, with visitation Sunday afternoon and evening.

Mary H. Jannone, 89, died peacefully on Wednesday, November 06, 2013 at Somerset Valley Rehabilitation Center in Bridgewater.

Daughter of the late Dominick and Bennedette Izzo, Mary was born and raised in Bound Brook until moving to Bridgewater in 1960.

She was a 1942 graduate of Bound Brook High School and a graduate of the Fashion Institute of New York. Mary was a seamstress for Cheerio Frochs in Bound Brook retiring in 1988.

She was a member of St. Joseph’s Church in Bound Brook and the Bound Brook Lady Elks.

She is predeceased by her husband, Michael J. Jannone, who died in 1983 and her siblings, Paul Izzo, Dominick Izzo, and Helen Greco.

She lis survived by her two children, Michael D. Jannone of Bridgewater and Michele Bailey of Montgomery; brother, Anthony Izzo of Virginia, and grandchildren, Michael, Amanda, and Christopher.

Visiting hours will be held from 2 p.m. — 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday,   at the Bridgewater Funeral Home, 707 East Main Street, Bridgewater. Funeral services will begin from the Bridgewater Funeral Home at 9 a.m. Monday, followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph’s Church in Bound Brook. Burial will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Bridgewater.
