Brick Resident Nearly Electrocuted at Worksite Released From Hospital

Was taken to Somerset Medical Center after CPR restored heartbeat.

A Brick Township man who was resuscitated after his heart stopped by an electrical shock at a relative's home on Shadow Oak Road Sept. 3 has been released from Somerset Medical Center.

Heath Meinheit, 34, of Brick Township, was taken to the medical center after he was knocked unconscious when he touched a live electrical wire at about noon. His heart had stopped, but CPR revived his heartbeat before he was taken to Somerset Medical Center in critical condition.

Hospital spokeswoman Kathleen Roberts said Meinheit was released from the hospital Sunday.
