UPDATED: Bridgewater Man, 79, Hurt in Fatal Crash

Accident closed roadway for about three hours Thursday night.

A 79-year-old Bridgewater man was hurt in a fatal accident that closed a Hillsborough roadway for three hours Thursday.

Gregory Gentile, 27, of East Brunswick, was airlifted to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital where he died from his injuries Thursday night, Hillsborough Police said.

Joseph Kuhta, 79, of Bridgewater, was also taken to the hospital for injuries he sustained in the crash, which occurred at about 4:30 p.m.

According to the , Kuhta's Chrysler LeBaron exited the parking lot of Nelson's Corner onto eastbound Amwell Road when it struck Gentile's Kawasaki Ninja.

The crash closed Amwell Road between Route 206 and Willow Road until about 7:30 p.m.

The Hillsborough Police Department, Somerset County C.A.R. Team, Hillsborough Rescue Squad, Hillsborough fire companies, Somerset Medical Center Paramedics and a New Jersey State Police medevac helicopter responded to the accident.
