Bridgewater Mom Indicted for Allegedly Driving Drunk With Child in Car

Prosecutors say Ashley Mastro's 19-month-old child was unrestrained when she was charged with DWI.

A Bridgewater resident was indicted last week on charges of endangering the welfare of her 19-month-old baby following a July motor vehicle stop where she was nearly three times over the legal limit, police said.

Ashley Mastro, 26, stopped on Route 28 and taken into custody July 24 after failing field sobriety tests. According to NJ.com, a breath test showed she had a blood alcohol content level of 0.21 percent, well above the 0.08 standard for driving while intoxicated.

The report noted when Mastro was stopped on Route 28, the toddler was not restrained.

The child's father was also in the vehicle at the time of the incident.
