Bridgewater Resident Charged in Child Pornography Case

The Linden Street resident has been charged with child endangerment, among other charges.

A Bridgewater resident has been charged in a child pornography case, according to a release from the Somerset County Prosecutor's Office.

Nicholas Delacruz, 25, of Linden Street, was charged with second degree endangering the welfare of a child, fourth degree endangering the welfare of a child, possession of a weapon and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to Somerset County Prosecutor Geoffrey Soriano.

Soriano said Delacruz was arrested following an undercover investigation through the Somerset County Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, made up of detectives from the prosecutor's office.

The task force, Soriano said, found video files of underage children engaged in prohibited sexual acts on Delacruz's computer.

According to Soriano, a search warrant was executed at Delacruz's house April 7, and the files were found stored on the computer.

Bail for Delacruz has been set at $50,000 cash or bond.
