Motorcycle Crash Sends Bridgewater Man to Hospital

Resident suffers non-life-threatening injuries after colliding with SUV Saturday morning.

A collision between a car and a motorcycle sent a Bridgewater resident to the hospital on Saturday morning.

A Bridgewater man riding his motorcycle collided with an SUV at the intersection of Garretson Road and Commons Way at about 8:45 a.m., Bridgewater Police said.

The cyclist, whose age was still unknown on Saturday afternoon, was sent to Morristown Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries, according to Lt. Robert Wilt.

While the incident is still under investigation, Wilt said, it's possible the accident occured after the SUV ran a red light at the intersection.

"It appears that way right now," Wilt said, "but we're not 100 percent sure."
