Cops: Woman Arrested After Motor Vehicle Stop
The following arrest information was supplied by the Bridgewater Township Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
Bridgewater Township Police recently arrested a woman for hindering apprehension—and found she had a warrant for her arrest out of Middlesex Borough.
Christine Gargirello, 49, of Bridgewater, was charged with hindering apprehension after the vehicle she was a passenger in was pulled over when she was not wearing her seatbelt at 7:41 p.m. Jan. 28.
According to police, Gargirello gave a false name when police asked her to identify herself.

When she was arrested, police said, they found that Gargirello also had a $500 warrant for her arrest from Middlesex Borough.
Bridgewater Township Police are also investigating a few burglaries over the past week.

- Police are investigating reports from two residents on Lilac Court that someone entered their vehicles in the overnight hours of Feb. 1, and removed a radar detector and cash.
- Police are investigating a report that someone broke into a vehicle parked at the around 3:30 p.m. Feb. 3 and removed a backpack with books and a calculator, all valued at $120.
- Edward Gruskin, 40, of Verona, was charged with shoplifting after he was allegedly found with DVD's from . The DVD's were valued at $39.98.
