Bridgewater Woman Accused of Assaulting Postal Employee

Alleged altercation occurred when postal employee refused access to someone else's PO box.

A Bridgewater woman assaulted a U.S. Postal worker last week when she was denied access to someone else's post office box, police said.

Gail Montgomery, 47, of Shasta Drive, was charged with simple assault, disorderly conduct and obstructing government administration.

Montgomery allegedly wanted access last Thursday to another person's post office box, which is in violation of postal regulations and the employee refused to allow her the access. Police said Montgomery then assaulted the employee, grabbing and pulling her hair.
