PhillyBurbs.Com: Man Sentenced in Vehicular Death of Bridgewater Residents

A Bridgewater resident's wife and son were killed in a car accident in September 2009.

A Northampton man was sentenced Wednesday to three to seven years in state prison following a September 2009 car accident in Pennsylvania that killed a Bridgewater woman and her son, according to an article on PhillyBurbs.com.

According to the article, Michael Hartman, 47, made an illegal pass around Bridgewater resident Scott Rawicz's vehicle and sent it headlong into a tree, causing Rawicz's wife and son to sustain fatal injuries.

Hartman was found guilt of vehicular homicide, involuntary manslaughter and reckless endangerment after the trial in January, the article said. The article said he was found to have been speeding and passed the Rawicz vehicle in a no-passing zone.
