California Man Charged With DWI After Not Maintaining Lane on Route 22

The following arrest information was supplied by the Bridgewater Township Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A California resident was arrested for driving while intoxicated after he was pulled over because he failed to stay in his lane while driving on Route 22 at 1:50 a.m. July 16.

Anthony Cupo, 49, was charged with driving while intoxicated, failure to maintain a lane, failure to exhibit a registration, refusal to submit to breath tests, resisting arrest and obstruction.

According to police, Cupo pulled his arm away while arresting officers were attempting to handcuff him.

Cupo was processed and released.

Police made several other arrests for driving while intoxicated and shoplifting.

  • Arthur Greenburg, 57, of Bridgewater, was charged with driving while intoxicated and speeding after he was pulled over while driving on Adamsville Road at 1:04 a.m. July 17.
  • Sarie Goldberg, 31, of Somerville, was charged with driving while intoxicated and failure to maintain a lane after she was pulled over while driving on East Main Street at 12:26 a.m. July 17.
  • Cindy Estrella, 19, of New Brunswick, was charged with shoplifting after she was found with $277 worth of merchandise from at 8:23 pm. July 21.
  • Matthew Goldsmith, 27, of Bedminster, was charged with driving while intoxicated, failure to maintain a lane and careless driving after he was pulled over while traveling on Route 202/206 at 1:15 a.m. July 23.
  • Daniel Woo, 26, of Roselle Park, was charged with driving while intoxicated, speeding, maintenance of headlamps, failure to exhibit registration and failure to exhibit insurance cards after he was pulled over while driving on Route 202/206 at 1:34 a.m. July 24.
