Child Porn Guilty Plea Has Bridgewater Man Facing 10 Years

That is the minimum time the convicted sex offender will receive.

A Bridgewater man with a prior sexual assault conviction faces a minimum of 10 years in prison after he pleaded guilty to possessing child pornography on his laptop, according to the Department of Justice.

David W. Tuytjens, 56, admitted in Trenton federal court Thursday that he stored pictures and videos of child pornography on his laptop, as well as on DVDs recovered from his residence.

According to documents filed in the case, officers from the New Jersey State Parole Board examined Tuytjens' laptop during a visit to his residence that was part of required supervision connected to a prior conviction for sexual assault. While officers were examining the computer, they found multiple images of child pornography, which appeared to have been downloaded from the Internet, according to court documents.
