Cops: Bridgewater Men Arrested in Long Valley Drug Possession Bust

Motor vehicle stop leads to two arrests.

The  and its sole member, Kobe, to the  has already made a difference in Washington Township, assisting in an arrest of two Bridgewater men for drug possession, according to a press release issued by Washington Township Police Lt. Mark Niemynski.

Washington Township Police Officer Cory Lee stopped a car on Flocktown Road for a motor vehicle violation at 11:23 p.m. on March 11. Lee, assisted by officer Peter Cecere and Kobe, conducted an investigation of the vehicle, the press release said.

The investigation revealed, according to police, suboxone and less than 50 grams of marijuana. The vehicle’s driver, Steven Zofcin, 20, was charged with possession of suboxone and less than 50 grams of marijuana. Zofcin’s passenger, Blake Baca, 20, was also charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana, police said.

Zofcin and Baca, both of Bridgewater, were arrested and processed at police headquarters. Both were served with complaints and released pending a municipal court appearance.
