Cops Investigating Several Burglaries

The following arrest information was supplied by the Bridgewater Township Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

The Bridgewater Township Police Department is investigating several different burglaries to commercial properties, vehicles and homes over a week-long period.

The first, according to police, was reported at 12:30 p.m. Feb. 9, when workers at a commercial building on Radel Avenue reported that someone entered and removed a large amount of copper. According to police, the copper was cut out of the building, and consisted of wiring and tubing.

On Feb. 10, at 8 a.m., police received a report that someone had forced entry into a commercial business on Route 22 West and removed computers and other electronics. According to police, the items stolen were valued at $11,920.

Police responded to a call around 3 p.m. Feb. 11 that someone had entered a vehicle that was parked at Home Depot and removed a handicapped parking placard.

Finally, at 5 p.m. Feb. 12, police responded to a report that someone had entered a garage on Chimney Rock Road and removed some tools. According to police, the items were valued at a total of $1,215.

In addition, police are investigating a report of a theft from Victoria's Secret around 9 p.m. Feb. 14. According to police, perfume valued at $2,051 was removed from the store.

And police made one arrest for DWI this past week.

  • Raphael Lora, 44, of Hillsborough, was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, unsafe backing and refusal to submit to breath tests after he was pulled over while driving on Route 202/206 at 11:57 p.m. Feb. 12.
