Downed Utility Pole Impacting Morning Commute

Downed lines may have also left residents without power.

A downed utility pole at Grove Street and Route 22 is compounding morning commute problems, Wednesday, and may have put as many as 500 PSE&G customers in the dark.

Bridgewater police issued a notice that the pole was down and blocking traffic at the intersection at about 7:34 a.m. No report of what caused the pole to break was given.

Also, PSE&G reports as many as 500 Bridgewater customers are currently without power.
