Driver Dies In I-287 Accident
Cause of accident that took Far Hills man's life still under investigation.
A 31-year-old Far Hills man died Friday night in Bridgewater after his car veered off of Interstate 287 and then became engulfed in flames, Sergeant Julian Castellanos of the New Jersey State Police said.
According to police, James Reilly was driving northbound on 287 at 9:28 p.m. when his car veered off of the road and struck a guardrail. The vehicle then rolled into the concrete embankment, before becoming engulfed in flames near mile marker 16.6 in Bridgewater, police said.
Police confirmed that Reilly was pronounced dead at 9:50 p.m. at Somerset Medical Center.

Police are still investigating the cause of the accident, but Castellanos did confirm that the driver was not wearing a seat belt.
No one else was involved in the accident, according to police.
