Bridgewater Firefighters Help as Blaze Rips Through Bound Brook Building
Finderne Volunteer Fire Company responded to a fire in a vacant building on Tea Street in Bound Brook.
Finderne Volunteer Fire Company and others provided assistance to fight a fire that broke out Sunday evening in an unoccupied building on Tea Street in Bound Brook.
According to fire officials, the about five-story building was under construction, so no one had been inside, and no one was displaced.
The fire, officials said, began at around 7 p.m., and was still being fought after 10 p.m.

Finderne fire officials said the local departments always assist each other in these kinds of instances, as a county coordinator will call to say that assistance is needed. This is called the county mutual aid plan.
Officials have not yet released a cause for the fire.
