Hundreds Head to Fire Company Open House

Residents learn about what the company has to offer, and how to volunteer.

Several hundred residents and their children attend Saturday's open house at the Martinsville Volunteer Fire Company.

During the day, there were demonstrations and tours of the fire apparatus, as well as hot dogs, donuts and cider for all. In addition, the members of the fire department were available to answer questions about fire safety.

Information was also available about volunteering as a member of the fire company.
