No Injuries in Truck Fire on 287

Traffic was being diverted to exit 13A.

No injuries were reported in an accident on Route 287 that caused a truck fire around noon Friday, state police said.

Traffic was being diverted off Route 287 north because of a truck fire in the area of Chimney Rock Road Friday afternoon, police said.

Police said there was a truck fire called in around 12 p.m. around Chimney Rock Road, and it closed three lanes in the area of exit 14 on the northbound side.

According to state police, the truck hit the median, but there were no injuries.

Traffic was diverted to exit 13A until about 3 p.m. after the accident was cleared.
