Minor Injuries in Crash After Teen Runs Stop Sign

Three people taken to Somerset Medical Center for evaluation.

A two-car accident at the intersection of Brown and Papen roads early Friday evening resulted in minor injuries, Bridgewater Police said.

Sgt. Richard Shimp said a 17-year-old Bridgewater female who was driving east on Papen Road, drove through the stop sign and struck a vehicle driven by Deborah Alexander Mank, 53, of Basking Ridge, at about 5:10 p.m. Alexander Mank was traveling north on Brown Road, Shimp said.

While both vehicles ended up on the front lawn of a home on the corner of the intersection, Shimp described the accident as "just your basic intersection accident."
