Irvington Man Charged With Gun, Drug Possessions
The man was arrested at the Raritan Train Station.
An Irvington man was arrested Tuesday on drug and possessions charges after he was arrested outside the Raritan Train Station on Anderson Street in Raritan, according to the prosecutor's office.
Darues King, 20, was charged with unlawful possession of a handgun and possession of cocaine in the incident.
According to Somerset County Prosecutor Geoffrey Soriano, the Organized Crime and Narcotics Task Force received a tip that King would be taking a train from Newark to Raritan, and would be in possession of a handgun Tuesday.

At 2 p.m., Soriano said, detectives saw King exiting a train at the Raritan station, and they approached him for questioning.
Prior to conducting a pat down frisk, Soriano said, detectives found a .380 caliber handgun inside King's pants. And before he was arrested, Soriano said, King produced nine small bags of cocaine.

The street value of the cocaine, Soriano said, was $180.
King was lodged in Somerset County Jail with bail set at $50,000 cash or bond.
