Jewelry, Cash Stolen From Somerset Avenue Home, Cops Say

Bridgewater Township Police are investigating the report.

Bridgewater Township Police are investigating a report of $1,000 worth of items stolen from a Somerset Avenue home.

According to a report from police, a Somerset Avenue resident reported at 5:35 p.m. March 5 that someone smashed a rear basement window and entered his home.

From there, police said, the person stole jewelry, cash and gift cards valued at $1,000.

More breaking of windows was discovered when police were called in to investigate a report that someone broke the rear dining room window of the Green Knoll Grille before 8:30 a.m. Feb. 28.

According to a police report, the person then forced open a door to a storage area, but it is unknown whether anything was taken.
