Bridgewater man charged with theft at Green Knoll Grille

A Dolittle Drive man has been charged with stealing an iPhone and three credit cards from a wallet at the Green Knoll Grille.

William Reiner, 34, was arrested early Friday morning following a motor vehicle stop in Branchburg at about 2:10 a.m., according to an affidavit filed in Superior Court.

After Reiner gave police permission to search his car, they found a white iPhone and three credit cards not with Reiner’s name, the affidavit said.

After being given his Miranda warning about giving a self-incriminating statement, Reiner told the police that he took the credit cards from a wallet at the restaurant and the iPhone that was with the wallet, the affidavit said.
