Man Nearly Electrocuted From Live Downed Wire

South Jersey man working on a Bridgewater home was shocked unconscious and found without a pulse Tuesday.

A South Jersey man was in critical condition after nearly electrocuting himself Tuesday while working on a relative's home in Bridgewater.

Heath Meinheit, 34, of Brick Township, was working on his sister-in-law's home on Shadow Oak Road when the power went out Tuesday morning shortly before noon, according to NJ.com. Meinheit discovered the cause—a live downed power line, which he grabbed and shocked himself unconscious, the article said.

Meinheit was found without a pulse, but revived with CPR and transported to Somerset Medical Center where he was listed in critical condition Tuesday afternoon, the article said.
